What is the single biggest change you hope to make if elected?
I will improve public education in Texas by supporting our schools: funding them appropriately, returning decision-making to local school boards and superintendents, reforming the accountability system, and recognizing that diversity is a strength.
 

How do you define success for your term in office?
I will define success as improving Texans' lives. My goal is to make Texas more affordable in terms of housing, health care, and childcare. Another goal is to make health care available, affordable, and accessible. It is also my goal to support small businesses and workers, ensuring we have a level-playing field, living wages, and safe working conditions.

 

Which three issues are your top priority?
My top three issues are: 1) Increasing funding for public schools and ending the voucher program; 2) ensuring all Texans can access the healthcare they need affordably; and 3) updating water laws ensuring we can meet our water needs without driving up the cost.

 

How will your policies directly impact everyday Americans?
I believe opportunity begins with a great education. A well-educated and healthy population is good for everyone. Today, everyday Americans are feeling stressed about the economy, demoralized by an administration that is trampling on our constitution, and fearful that our government is broken beyond repair. Turning things around won't be easy, but I remain optimistic that we can create policies that will improve the economy, return trust in government, and adhere to our constitution.
