About the event

No Kings is more than a protest slogan—it’s a thunderous declaration that democracy belongs to the people, not to any one man. Born out of mass resistance to President Trump’s increasingly authoritarian actions, the No Kings movement has mobilized millions across the U.S. to reject the idea of executive supremacy and reaffirm the founding principle: America has no kings.

The phrase “No Kings” echoes the spirit of 1776, when American revolutionaries broke from the tyranny of King George III. The Founders, steeped in republican political theory, feared concentrated executive power and designed a system to prevent monarchy from ever taking root again. From the Articles of Confederation to the Constitution, the goal was clear: power must be dispersed, accountable, and never absolute.
